Classroom Expectations
Students are to bring these items to every class:




Binder with note paper and class handouts
Pens/pencils
Calculator (during the electricity unit)
Dr. Knox agenda

Respect the people, supplies, and the room itself
Raise your hand instead of shouting out questions/answers.
Be willing and ready to contribute.
Unless it is an emergency, students will not be allowed to leave
class unless all their work is done
5. Cell phones and ipods are not permitted unless the teacher
okays the use of such a device
6. No food or drinks (water is allowed) during class time  ask if
you need to eat

3. If you missed handing in assignments due to being away, then it
is expected that the student will hand those assignments in
without prompting from the teacher.
4. Missed tests will be written at lunch as soon as possible.

*Passing a Final exam may be necessary in order to be given credit for Science 9
Plagiarism and Cheating:
Plagiarism and cheating are a serious offenses listed in the school code of conduct.
If a student is found to be cheating or plagiarizing material, then he/she may receive
a mark of zero for the work in question. A zero may also be given to any other
student(s) who is helping/allowing another student to cheat. During tests/quizzes,
students not be allowed to use a cell phone or ipod as a calculator. All cell phones,
iPods, and other handheld electronics will be left at the teacher’s desk.
