Mr. Ryan’s Reading Class Rules and Procedures
Classroom Procedures
Lining Up & Coming into the Classroom:
Once you enter the classroom you are to quietly sit down. IMMEDIATELY
begin your morning work. The bell does not start class. You start
class when you walk in the room! This is not social time; class
officially begins the moment you walk in the door! Once the bell has rung
and announcements have completed, I will make an announcement to bring me
any papers, notes, or other supplies you may need to bring to my attention.
After everyone has had sufficient time to complete their bell work I will
either collect the papers or review them and class will resume.
1. Remember there is no talking at this time and you should be waiting to
hear my directions.
2. Wait until I tell you to enter the class!
3. Stay in line as you enter the room and find your seats immediately.
4. You should always check to see if there is an assignment posted for
you to work that you should begin immediately. If there is no
assignment begin reviewing your reading notes, or read your library
book.
Intercom & Visitors:
1. Wait silently or continue working.
