Year 6 children As Year 6 children are getting ready to leave their primary school, we send them on their way with our very best wishes for their future educational careers and hope they achieve success in their new schools. Sporting News Four children, two girls and 2 boys, from Year 3 + 4 have won the regional tennis competition and now qualify to represent our area at the Derbyshire School Games – Mini Tennis County Final on Tuesday 7th July at Trent College, Long Eaton. Headteacher for the day nd On Thursday the 2 July we look forward to welcoming our new Headteacher and Deputy Headteacher to The Curzon CE Primary School. Miss Mia Grigoriu will be the Headteacher and Miss Caitlin Grigoriu will be the Deputy Headteacher. The two Miss Grigoriu will be leading collective worship that morning, signing letters, looking at what is happening in all years and enjoying dinner in the staff room with the rest of the staff. We hope they will enjoy their day. Thank you from Uganda A big thank you to Mrs. Pollock for having a plant sale outside her house for several weeks. The amazing total raised was £495. WOW! This money was raised to send to our partner school in Uganda, The Good Shepherd School. We are looking forward to seeing their own school building being built over the next few months. The many parents that support us and to those who give of their time to help in school. Mrs. Pegg and Mrs. Hill for their help with the gardening club from Year 1 and Year 4. Mr. Small for the ‘odd jobs’ he does around school. The governors who give a lot of their valuable time and skills voluntarily to help run the school in many ways, often unseen but so necessary.
