Chat with the teacher If you want to meet with the teacher to discuss your child’s progress then please speak to them or drop them a note to arrange a convenient time. We welcome and encourage these informal meetings as a way of building dialogue between home and school. These are a good way of getting a more rounded picture of your child’s learning. Chat with the Assistant Headteacher, Inclusion Leader (Deputy Headteacher) or Headteacher. If, after seeing the class teacher, you have a concern or require information that the class teacher has not been able to provide, then please speak to Miss Close (Key Stage 2) or Miss Gray (Key Stage 1 and Early Years). Miss Chappell our inclusion leader and Deputy Head is also available to discuss children with additional learning needs. If they are not able to provide a solution or the required information, please make an appointment to see Mr Atkinson. Helping on Trips By volunteering to help with trips you can see the children’s learning for yourselves. Please note that we undertake a basic clearance for all parents helping with trips: parents need to simply give their full name and date of birth to Miss Costello in the office before volunteering for a school trip. Our colourful weekly newsletter is emailed to all parents on a Friday afternoon. Please read it carefully as it gives you an overview of things happening at the school and keeps you informed of children’s achievements. Please let us know about children’s successes outside of school so we can celebrate these too. If you require a paper copy of the newsletter, please let the office know and they will provide one. You will receive a parent curriculum letter. This gives you an overview of the curriculum for your child’s class and suggestions of ways you can support your child at home.
