March 20, 2015 Senior Grades due on. ........................................................................................... ..May 15, 2015 Junior and Sophomore Grades due on.................................................................. ..May 29, 2015 GRADING SYSTEM The Grading Formula used to determine grades is: 10% Skill Grade (Tasks, Competencies) 40% Work Ethic (Daily Grade) 50% Knowledge (Tests, Quizzes, Assignments & Performance Objectives) LEVELS: 5 - Performs with initiative and adaptability to industry standards 4 - Performs satisfactorily without supervision to industry standards 3 - Performs to industry standards, but needs supervision 2 - Performs part of the skill to industry standards, but requires close supervision 1 - Cannot perform skill to industry standards 0 - Not introduced Grades will be based on student performance-based evaluations, daily grades, class participation, projects, homework, tests/quizzes and other valid measures of student performance in each quarter. Two (2) written tests are required to be given each grading period. Additional progress reports will be issued if deemed necessary. Any student receiving a final “F” grade indicating that he/she is unable or unwilling to perform their required work, may be transferred to another course at the Beaver County CTC or may be reassigned to the home school. Grades will be recorded in one of the following systems so as to be compatible to the home school’s grading practice.
