Topicality of the problem is predetermined by the growth of scientific language in the formation of professional competence and positive verbal behavior of modern professionals, their capacity to interpret scientific concepts and theories.
The object of the diploma paper is the research of lexical and grammatical features of English scientific text and problems of its translation.
The subject of the diploma paper is the lexical items, grammatical forms and constructions, sentences of English scientific texts and translation transformations.
The purpose of the work is to elucidate questions of the English scientific text functioning, its lexical and grammatical features and find out problems which arise in the process of its translation. To achieve the given purpose we have attempted to:
1) investigate the main characteristics of the scientific texts;
2) consider different classifications of English scientific text;
3) conduct the content analysis of lexical and grammatical features of English scientific texts by the defined criteria;
4) determine the morpho-syntactic and semantic features of English scientific terminology;
5) elucidate the means of term formation in the modern English scientific language;
6) detect the specifics of use of grammatical means in English scientific texts;
7) make the translation analysis of English scientific texts based on lexical-grammatical transformations.
1. scientific texts of academic nature ( monograph, articles, thesis, reports, dissertations );

3. scientific texts of informative and evaluative nature
( instruction, application, review, summary, abstract , etc.).
