 Develop strategies for reading and interpreting
in meaningful ways

TEXTS AND CONTEXTS
Texts embody cultural values and
 Are products of their time and place
 Students should be open and receptive to the
material we are reading in the class and
 Have moments of “passionate engagement”
with these texts.

