 You first need to register at:
http://avnet.socialondemand.co.uk/register/
 You will receive an email
confirmation once your
registration has been approved.
 You will then be able to login at:
http://avnet.socialondemand.co.uk/login/

How to add your social media account(s)
 The first time you log in, you will
be prompted to add your
social media account(s).
 Click on the Twitter/ Facebook/
LinkedIn icons, enter your
username/password and
authorise Avnet as a trusted
publisher.
 Don’t worry… nothing will be
posted without you viewing and approving it first. Avnet also
has no access to your social media usernames and
passwords – it’s 100% confidential.

How to add your social media account(s)
 For each Post Category, you
will need to choose between
Ignore, Review / Edit / Publish
(you can view/ edit posts
manually) or Publish
Automatically (news will be
posted automatically and without
review to your chosen social
media accounts).
 You need to select your
Customer Target(s). Each post
is targeted to a specific group of
end-users, and therefore you can
choose which ‘stream’ you are
interested in and would like to
receive posts for.

 You will also need to select when you would
like to be notified of the new posts (only those
that are relevant will be sent to you).
How to add your social media account(s)
Don’t forget:
 You can add as many
accounts as you like.
 (TIP) It is a good idea to
name each account
carefully so you can
keep track easily.
 You can Edit these preferences at any time or Remove
accounts or even Delegate them to your colleagues. They
will be able to manage the posts for you (you will remain the
only person able to edit the social media account settings).

Avnet socialondemand – the emails
 Every time a new RELEVANT
post is available, you will
receive an email.
 You will receive the email
notification as soon as the
post is created, once a day
or once a week (as per your
preferences).
 If you like the post and would
like to review it or publish it,
click Edit / Publish link on
the email.

How to repost news
 This will take you back to Avnet
socialondemand (you will need to
login) and you will be able to edit
and review the post in the text box,
assign it to other social media
accounts and Send.
 You will not need to login to your
own Twitter, Facebook or LinkedIn
accounts. The posting will happen
system-to-system automatically.
 That’s it… your new post will
appear automatically on your social
networks.

How to view the results
 Now your post is
appearing on your social
network(s), go to your
HOME page and see how
many new interactions
(clicks, downloads,
retweets, likes) you are
generating…
 These are all from your
followers (customers and
prospects).

How to view archives
 You can access posts
that have already been
posted by Avnet.
 Click on ARCHIVE in
the navigation bar.
 There you can re-post
or edit them before you
post them to your social
media accounts.
