For our IBM team, we are currently looking for a BDM IBM Hardware.
Your responsibilities:
The BDM identifies opportunities for business expansion within existing & new customers and in support of the
Account Development Manager’s (ADM) sales strategy. Manages the business relationship with emphasis on
facilitating business planning and business resources for accounts in a product line or technology area to
achieve the identified strategy and business financial objectives.
 Technology/product line specialist responsible for development and execution of the customer and or
vendor growth plans and the business relationship
 Supplier marketing and strategy resource for assigned and new account(s) managing the use of
available collateral and tools effectively communicating Avnet’s supplier brand value propositions.
 Achieves gross profit targets by increasing revenue spend per account.
 Supports customers throughout the sales process in all sales-oriented activities, including marketing,
advertising, sales promotions and training to achieve revenue targets
 Drive and develop the sales relationship to increase account activity and growth through joint business
planning and supplier/business focused activities.
 Performs analysis and reports results of various program impact for identified and new customer(s)
notifying (if applicable) the ADM/SSR of success, issues and future growth plan strategies
 Consults SSR team to assess the status of various business opportunities in relevant
technology/vendor area to provide appropriate forecasts and pipeline activity back to vendor or Team
Manager/Sales Director.
 Provide vendor specific forecasting as defined by the Team Manager and/or Sales Director.
 Deliver product specific training where appropriate to internal and external customers as part of a joint
business plan for growth.
 Uses specialist knowledge of vendor/technology offerings and marketplace to identify opportunities for
increasing market share and growing incremental business.
 Maintains knowledge of products, competitors, technology and customers in the assigned supplier
product market
 Continuous training and development in the relevant technology and achieve/maintain supplier
certification where needed

Your profile:
 Possesses thorough knowledge of IBM HW portfolio, with at least 2 years experience. Has the ability
to identify new partners, suppliers or end users.
 Has knowledge of the effective use of a variety of creative thinking and marketing techniques.
 Demonstrated ability to employ critical analysis and business judgment to achieve identified
deliverables.
 Demonstrated success in the identification, development and delivery of strategic programs and
collateral material based on market knowledge which supports strategies developed and executed by
others
 Excellent verbal and written communications skills, time management and multi-tasking skills. Spoken
and written English skills.
