Youth Support addresses the risk factors that may result in poor outcomes and helps build vulnerable young peoples resilience Youth Support aims to: Develop young people’s social and emotional skills enabling them to make positive choices, manage change and navigate risk Raise young people’s aspirations and help them to achieve and feel positive towards learning Help foster supportive and positive families, communities and peer groups Youth Support is part of Early Intervention / Prevention Early intervention is defined as “ intervening early and as soon as possible to tackle problems emerging for young people and their families or with a population most at risk of developing problems.
