 Procedure:
 Line
up with Law School Students – signs will be
posted
 Law students assemble in the Dedman Center
for Lifetime Sports at 8:15 am. Student
procession will begin at 8:55 am. Faculty
Marshals and Proctors will direct students
 Must wear graduation regalia
 No tickets necessary-Limited to 4 guests


6:30 pm to approximately 8:30 pm.
Refreshments afterwards in Karcher

No tickets needed for hooding ceremony




Pay all tickets, library fines, fees
First come-first serve seating
Simulcast sites will be available

Valedictorian (will be notified by Dean Camp after class
ranks are computed)
Hooding Ceremony Logistics
5:00 - 5:30 p.m. Check-in at Underwood Law Library
Walsh: LL.M. candidates (International and Tax),
Juris Doctor A - J, Honor Guard, Valedictorian
Hillcrest: Juris Doctor K - Z
 Cards with candidate names will be laid, by degree, in alphabetical
order on the desks in Hillcrest and Walsh.
 Find the card with your name and assigned number; this will be your
place in line to process.
 Check your name on the card and make corrections; you will hand
this card to SBA President (JD’s) or Dean Camp (LLM’s) when you are
receiving your degree. Your name will be announced from this
card.
5:30 - 6:00
Receive instructions on holding and presenting hood
and information about the processional.
6:00 - 6:15
Candidates will process in the numerical order
designated on their card.
You will be guided every step of the way by staff!

Honors Chords will be distributed to students in Underwood


Please pick up after May 12th.
For those who have not ordered, it’s on a first come, first serve basis at the bookstore.
BEFORE GRADUATION make sure your cap and gown fit and are pressed (or hung in
advance to remove wrinkles)
(3 chords for Summa; 2 chords for Magna; 1 chord for Cum)
Other Graduate/Professional Degree Hoods

Students may wear additional hoods from other graduate or professional degree
programs
Attire: Dress comfortablyRemember it will be outdoors in late May! Dress appropriately!


Men - do wear slacks and nice shoes

Ladies, caution on wearing high heels. You may sink in the lawn or trip going up and
down stairs.

receive two drinks tickets. After that, cash bar is available.

All non-graduating students are welcome to attend
