PROJECT TITLE: GULAYAN SA PAARALAN AT SA TAHANAN II. RATIONALE: Gulayan sa Paaralan Program (GPP) was launched by the Department of Education in partnership with the Department of Agriculture to promote the value of school gardening as contribution to the feeding program and raise awareness to have a locally grown vegetables and crops that will benefit the community. III. DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT: This project was conceptualized through the aspiration of establishing profitable backyard gardening that will serve as a food basket or main source of food and highlight the importance of nutrition. This will be spearheaded by Gulayan sa Paaralan Coordinator, supported by the School Head and the EPP teachers and parents of pupils. There will be planting of vegetables by teachers and parents, donations of seeds/seedlings, pots and loam soil, harvesting of vegetables, and contest for vegetable planting for parents.
