Patients and Methods Study Population, Design & Setting • Cross-sectional study at Al-Karak governmental hospital in Jordan between May 2015 and February 2016, 100 patients with an age range 1-14. • Diagnosis and assessment according to GINA (Global Initiative for Asthma) classification along with a validated questionnaire • Asthma Control Test (ACT) if older than 12 years and Childhood Asthma Control Test (C-ACT) if younger. • An ACT/C-ACT score of ≤ 19 poor control, a score of > 19 good control. • Vitamin D measurement by 25-OH levels as deficient (<20 ng/ml), insufficient (20-29 ng/ml), or sufficient (>29 ng/ml). • Skin Prick Testing for relation between atopy and vitamin D deficiency, positive if >4mm swelling. • Statistical Analyses: compared using ANOVA or Pearson’s, SPSS software used.
