Distinguished Alumni Lecture
The Department of Computer Science is thrilled to welcome this year’s Distinguished Alumni
Lecturer, Andrew Pearce BSc’84, MSc’88.
Andrew will discuss how his studies at the University of Calgary led to an accidental career in
computer graphics and visual effects, ending up at DreamWorks Animation. With the aid of
behind-the-scenes visuals from his work in film, he will lead us on the hero's journey – along the
path from his initial studies to present.
