Location
> Calgary is located in the province of Alberta, Canada
in the grassland and parkland natural regions of
Alberta and sits at 1048 metres (3,438 feet) above
sea level
> The Canadian Rockies is less than an hour’s
drive from the city centre of Calgary – with Banff
National Park a mere 120 km (75 miles) of the city
Climate
> The sun shines on average of 2,300 hours a year.

> A Chinook in Calgary (a warm wind) can raise the
temperature by as much as 15°C and in a few hours
