8, and so on) from 2 - 50.
 Read for at least 20 min.

Reading/Writing: Students should
bring home their guided reading
baggie and sight word baggie each
night for practice and they need to
bring them back to school each day.
We are working on inferences and
using our reading strategies.
Wednesday:
 Study your sight words.
 Now rewrite your alien story as if it
happened 100 years ago.
 Read for at least 20 min.

beginning a new planner: How the
World Works and will begin with
explorations in our science lab
showing heating and cooling,
magnets, and soil.
Thursday:
 Study your sight words.
 Write all the ODD numbers (1, 3, 5,
7, 9, and so on) from 1 - 49.
 Read for at least 20 min.

2. Please continue to have your child
read to you every night. They
should read their baggie books
rather than books that are too hard
for them. Books that are on their
level helps them build confidence
and fluency.
