Parent Information:
1. I hope you had a great spring
break!
2. Can your child tie his/her shoes? If
not, please help them work on it.
Thanks.
What are we learning this week?
Math: We will be composing and
decomposing larger numbers and
we will learn a new concept called
“Fast Nines.”
Reading/Writing: Students should
bring home their guided reading
baggie and sight word baggie each
night for practice and they need to
bring them back to school each day.
We are will do an author study of
Drew Daywalt.
IB/Social Studies/Science: We are
working on our How the World Works
planner and will explore magnets.
3. If your child is still working on sight
words, please make sure they
practice at home and have their
sight words with them every day.
4. Please continue to have your child
read to you every night. They
should read their baggie books
rather than books that are too hard
for them. Books that are on their
level helps them build confidence
and fluency.
5. This Friday, the PTA will be selling
pickles and popcorn for 50¢ each.
