INTRODUCTION TO ANATOMY AND PHYSIOLOGY

Description of activity:
1. Previously – draw and cut out labeled (common) human bones
a. Make sure they are comparable/proportional in size
b. Put a piece of tape at the top of each bone
2. Upon entering class, hand each student one bone
3. Have students tape their bones in general order of structure on the board or wall
4. Check to make sure bones are in correct order
Questions for discussion:
1. Why is the skeletal system important in humans? And in animals?
2. Why would the muscular system be important?
3. Do you think animals have similar skeletal systems to humans? How similar?
4. Do all animals have same components of the different systems?
5. Why would there be a difference?
