Project Timelines

Student Wellness and Sports Education
- A new sub-trade started 2 weeks ago and work is currently being performed 10 hours per
day 6 days per week.
- Currently within budget. Timing needs to be accelerated.
- Substantial completion is scheduled for May 2012.

Biological Sciences Building
- Substantial completion is scheduled for February 2012.
4.
Education Building: DRC, OCT, Veterans Services and Leadership Institute Offices
- On schedule with no issues. Substantial completion is scheduled for October 1.
5.
Science & Engineering Remedial Work
- Completion is scheduled for December 2011.
6.
Dining Facility
- Demolition of the existing building is complete.
- The preliminary GMP is expected by the end of August. Footings, foundation and steel
will go out for bidding later this month.
- Substantial completion is scheduled for August 2012.
7.
Programming for Buildings 3, 4 and 50
- The short term solution with minor renovations is completed. A consultant will now be
looking at a long range plan.
8.
Bat House
- The contract has been awarded to Scherer Construction. Due to the site being a tight
space, the bat house will be built off site and then placed in the proper location.
9.
NE Connector Road/Lot 34
- The 50% construction documents are being reviewed.
- Lot 34 will be paved and bus shelters will be built along the route.
- This will enable one shuttle route with 7 or 8 vehicles.
Additionally, Shari Shuman thanked Len Roberson and Jennifer Hager-Vickery for their service to the
Space Committee over the past 2 years. Lisa Jamba and Scott Hochwald were welcomed as the two new
faculty members of the Space Committee.
