Ms. Smith met with Joy Albert and Joseph Holliday who are forming a committee to come up with proposals. Dr. Caldwell stated that a decision needs to be made as soon as possible with construction planning to begin August, 2002. Ms.
Smith also conveyed a need to be open minded, people are now coming together to bring up a real solution.
Dr. Caldwell stressed the fact that a decision had never been made by the Vice Presidents; they had only listed options and identified the parameters for proposals. The matter was then turned over to the Division of Natural Sciences for plan development.
