II. Approval of the Minutes Jasmine Hormati stated that “cosmetology” under 5.7 was misspelled. Motion to approve the minutes as amended for March 10, 2011 made by Jessica Lopez. Seconded by Paul Hiney. Motion passed. IV. Approval of the Agenda Page 1 of 3 Tim Linehan stated that all of item 7 should be relabeled to say 6 and that all of 6 should be relabeled to say 5. Motion to approve the agenda as amended for March 31, 2011 made by Jessica Lopez. Seconded by Cindy Valdez. Motion passed. V. New Business 5.1 SSCCC – Jessica Lopez Motion to approve Jasmine Hormati, Johanna Zamora, Ariel Manjarrez, and Jessica Lopez to attend SSCCC made by Jessica Lopez. Seconded by Jasmine Hormati. Motion to amend the previous motion to vote on members attending individually made by Jasmine Hormati. Seconded by Kenji Tomoda. Sharon Asher voted no, Patrick Mondestin-Howard abstained. Motion Passed. Motion to approve Jasmine Hormati to attend SSCCC made by Jessica Lopez. Seconded by Nicole Reinertsen. Motion Passed. Motion to approve Johanna Zamora to attend SSCCC made by Jessica Lopez. Seconded by Jasmine Hormati. Motion Passed. Motion to approve Ariel Manjarrez to attend SSCCC made by Jessica Lopez. Seconded by Johanna Zamora. Vito Iaia Abstained, Motion Passed. Motion to approve Jessica Lopez to attend SSCCC made by Jessica Lopez. Seconded by Paul Hiney. Counted vote 11-0-2 (11 yes, both Johanna Zamora and Jasmine Hormati voted abstained). Motion Passed VI. Old Business -None VII. Reports 7.1 ASO Member Reports Jasmine Hormati passed out a sign up sheet to help out with the hair donation event. Jack DeMont reported that Amber Reaves, is hosting open auditions on campus for an improvisational T.V. show. Placing people is serious situations and turning them into lighter and funnier scenes. They are looking for people in the age range of 18-24. Nicole Reinertsen reported that El Camino Police does not want ASO to support the DUI event next week. Page 2 of 3 Lena Yamaguchi reported that she attended a H.A.C. meeting and they wanted to know if ASO will support it on April 17th. 7.2 ICC Reports None 7.3 AGS Reports Jeannine Barba reported that the deadline for AGS applications has passed. The car wash event will take place on March 30th and their annual conference is tomorrow in Ontario. 7.4 Committee Reports None. 7.5 Adviser Reports Jeannine Barba wanted to thank ASO for participating in an HTP seminar. VIII. Public Comments Nicole Reinertsen and the rest of ASO thanked Jeannine Barba, and Linda Lew for their help with the ASAAC conference. Johanna Zamora asked Rebekka Asher to give a follow-up report on the Mocktail for the senate in the near future. IX.
