I. Call to Order
Meeting Called to Order at 1:01 pm – Quorum was established.

III. Approval of the Agenda

Rebekka Asher stated that Item 5.1 will be removed from the agenda.
Motion to approve the Senate agenda for May 31, 2012 without item 5.1
Discipline Procedures made by Rebekka Asher. Seconded by Kenji Tomoda.

IV. Approval of the Minutes
Jasmine Hormati stated that under member reports that three region senators will fly out
to Sacramento to represent Region 7. The next correction was IT should be ITS.
Dillan Horton stated that under his member reports he stated that the Vice President of
ICC was not attending Town Hall, but the Secretary.

Motion to approve the Minutes for May 15, 2012 as amended made by Dillan
Horton. Seconded by Vincent Chu. Motion passed.

VII. Reports
7.1 ASO Member Reports
 Janelle Miller reported that the Cancer awareness event went well, and if
information is wanted to talk with her.
 Brooke Matson reported that the upcoming winter session will hold few if any
classes, and for ASO members to inform other students to plan around winter
session.
 Rebekka Asher reported that this is the last senate meeting and thanked those who
helped at the ASO banquet. Those whom were absent need to pick up their plack
and certificates.
 Helena Manumaleuna thanked those for helping at the ASO banquet. The Fine
Arts division is having its last performances of the year; there is one today and
another next week at 7pm inside the Marscee auditorium.
 Jasmine Hormati reported that member reports are due but would like to extend
the deadline due to finals. This ASO needs to set an example for future ASO’s.
Brooke Matson added that this is important to future ASO’s
Eric Monson stated that the reports should have a complete year summary.
Jasmine Hormati stated that the new deadline will be on June 14th, and to update
the old member reports. Jasmine then said that ECC student ambassadors are
hiring for next school year. The date will be on June 8th for ………. Last she had
fun at the ASO Banquet.
 Rebekka Asher reported that student ambassadors are friendly, the position has
you visit High schools in the area to promote El Camino College, host campus
tours to new students
 Nathan Wofford reported that he did not become a region senator in the region
elections; however, he did become a communications officer.
 .
7.2 ICC Reports
Brooke Matson reported that ICC just had “Let their voices be heard” and
congratulated Helena Manumaleuna for a great job. The ICC Banquet is at 6pm
tomorrow.

7.3 AGS Reports
Jasmine Hormati stated that AGS points sheets need to be turned in.
7.4 Committee Reports
7.4.1 Activities Committee: Brooke Matson reported that the military service
drive was fantastic and asked for volunteers to write letters for soldiers;
essentially saying that it helps boost the soldier’s moral. Brooke thanked
those that helped during the Hair Donation drive. Finals Madness is coming
up, the east lounge will be open from 9am-12pm Monday through Thursday.
Breanna von Stein stated that there will be no coffee, but they will simply
use what is left over from the ASO Banquet.
7.4.2 Fundraising Committee:-Next year the fundraising needs to be doubled.
7.4.3 Policy Committee: none.
7.4.4 Sustainability Committee: Jasmine Hormati stated that volunteers are
needed for next year.
7.4.5 Collegial Consultation Task Force: none.
7.5 Adviser Reports
7.5.1 Rebecca Cobb: absent.
7.5.2 Breanna Von Stein: reported that it is sad that this was the last Senate
meeting and thanked the ASO for her first year and has nothing but good
things to say about this senate.

 Motion to adjourn the Senate meeting at 1:17pm, made by Dillan Horton.
Seconded by Rebekka Asher.
