Due to our continued growth, we are seeking to hire a highly skilled Product Category
Director – Foot Care join our talented Marketing Team. Reporting to the VP of Sales &
Marketing, the Product Category Director – Foot Care will be responsible for leading
ASOs marketing strategy for the Foot Care category. The position will play a critical
role in the strategic development, implementation and day-to-day management of
marketing plans and programs that drive product volume and profitability objectives.
The main areas of focus for the position will be oversight of P/L for product categories
and individual products, product positioning, product category strategic planning,
category / product analytics and sales support including category positioning and
merchandising strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
Revenue/Profit Ownership
 Deliver the Operating Plan: achievement of product and category growth
objectives including market share, revenue, profit, and ROI for the all ASO
channels of business and/or key customer(s).
 Define, develop and lead channel/account, and product pricing strategy establish and gain alignment with the sales team promoting the marketing mix
(new products, core products, pricing, promotions) that will deliver against
operating plan.
 Develop strategy to improve profit through SKU rationalization, innovation,
customer pricing, and supplier evaluation/negotiation
Product / Category Strategic Planning
 Develop the product roadmap for ASOs foot care products across key market
segments and channels.
 Develop, communicate and execute category strategic planning and lead the
strategic business unit (SBU) Cross Functional Team
 Drive category and product innovation support the new product development
process
 Own product category lifecycles and product portfolios
 Manage Finished Goods inventory across all product categories and product
portfolios
Category Analytics and Research Leader
 Drive the development of new customer insights through primary and secondary
research.
 Review, analyze and articulate category trend information, market share data
and retail POS information, including Nielsen and IRI data
 Category consumer research leader ensuring the Voice of Customer (VOC) is
maintained as the product focus
 Develop/articulate consumer trends critical to the business decision making
process
Commercial Leader – Sales Support
 Responsible for category positioning communication and merchandising strategy
 Lead category promotional development and retail execution strategy
 Lead trade marketing and consumer awareness campaigns for promotions and
innovation
 Manage all levels of Product Launch communication plan
 Support sales in customer presentations and product line reviews

Exceptional communication skills
Education & Experience:
 Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related Business area, MBA with an emphasis
in Marketing strongly preferred.
 Minimum 7+ years experience in CPG marketing including product management
with at least 1-3 years in a leadership position.
 Both brand and private label experience preferred.
 Experience with a large consumer packaged goods corporation preferred.
