Due to our continued growth, we are seeking to hire a Human Resources Assistant for our new Distribution/Manufacturing center located in El Paso – 306 B South Americas Avenue, El Paso TX 79907 (On the corner of Americas Avenue and Socorro Road). The Human Resources Assistant will be responsible for providing day to day general human resources administrative support for ASO employees at the site in addition to being a liaison for temporary employees. Key Responsibilities: Acts as a liaison between temporary staffing agencies / temporary employees and ASO supporting temporary employee movements as required. Creates / tracks door access badges for temporary and direct employees. Handles day to day administrative tasks related to employment including: processing employment applications, setting up applicable screening, tracking/routing approvals for for new hires, transfers and terminations. Conducts new hire orientations for employees including notifying and scheduling as required. Tracks employees throughout the Talent Management process working with managers to update employee records as appropriate. Answers basic employee inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs escalating complex questions/issues to HR Mgmt. May assist with the administration of benefits programs such as life, health, dental, and disability insurances, and the employee assistance program. Assists with the coordination of company events. Translates documentation from English to Spanish. Recruits, interviews, and tests applicants to fill non-exempt level positions. Carries out receptionist responsibilities as needed for the Distribution Center including answering and routing calls, supporting visitors and vendors as appropriate. Other duties as assigned. Associates degree preferred. Additional coursework in Human Resources preferred. Experience: Minimum of three years’ experience in an HR administrative role required. Experience should demonstrate your ability to carry out basic office administrative functions. Experience in Human Resources preferred. Prior use of HRIS preferred. Prior experience in a manufacturing/distribution environment preferred. Skills & Abilities: Must be proficient in MS Office, capable of learning and using HRIS. Should be detail oriented, flexible, highly organized, hold strong ethics, and be able to perform well under timeline pressures. Must be able to hold confidentiality in regards to sensitive employee and payroll related information, possess accurate and timely data entry skills. Effective communicator both verbally and in writing.
