13-23 A Resolution to Determine When the Senate can Vote on A Resolution. 1 2 3 WHEREAS, Student Government works for the students interest and should be transparent to the students; and WHEREAS, Senators in the past have voted on resolutions and the public may or may 4 not have even heard of the new business that is being voted on; now, 5 therefore, be it 6 7 RESOLVED, By the Student Government of Wright State University here 8 assembled, that: 9 (1) Article V Section 5.02 of the Student Government Constitution be 10 amended to reflect this change by inserting the following part D after 11 Section 5.02 C saying “The Senate of the SG cannot vote on any 12 resolution before putting it on new business in at least one public 13 meeting. The resolution must be allowed for the public to discuss the 14 resolution during the public forum section of the agenda.
