It is recommended that assessment for this unit
standard occur alongside assessment for Unit 8001,
Prepare and present proposals to raise and manage
funds for social service projects.

service project, for example as envisaged in Unit 8001,
Prepare and present proposals to raise and manage
funds for social service projects, Element 4. Where the
terms of the plan have been modified by a funding
source through the conditions of a grant, bequest,
contract for service, or sponsorship, references to the
plan should be taken to include those modifications and
agreed funder requirements.

Procedures for accountability and monitoring achievement of social service
project aims and objectives are implemented according to the plan.

2.1
The budget for the social service project is allocated according to the plan, the
terms of the funding source, and service provider guidelines.
2.2
The management of funds by others is supervised according to the plan,
delegated authorities, the terms of the funding source, and service provider
guidelines.
2.3
Any modifications to the budget during the period of the project are consistent
with the terms of the plan and are authorised in accordance with service
provider guidelines.

2.4
Income and expenditure is checked against the budget at the prescribed
intervals.
2.5
Timely corrective action is taken in response to any actual or predicted
variations from the budget or unauthorised expenditure.
2.6
Invoices are sent for periodic payments from the funding source according to
the terms of the funding contract or funding source.
2.7
Expenditure on each aspect of the social service project is contained within the
budget allocation for that part of the social service project.
2.8
Authorisation of expenditure is within authorities and in accordance with service
provider guidelines.

3.3
The report identifies the findings of the review and provides conclusions and
recommendations addressing the management of funds and other resources for
