This unit standard is for people new to the leather industry or
those wishing to develop their technical skills in leather
manufacture.
People credited with this unit standard are able to demonstrate
knowledge of: vegetable tanning agents; mechanism of
vegetable tannage; vegetable tanning practice; and vegetable
tanned leather characteristics.
