Definitions
Long period maintenance includes lubrication and replacement of worn or damaged
machine parts and is performed at intervals greater than three months.
Workplace procedures refer to the verbal or documented procedures for performing
activities including health and safety, operational, environmental and quality
management requirements. They refer to manuals, manufacturer's specification,
codes of practice, or policy statements.

Performance of the elements must comply with Health and Safety in Employment Act
1992.

Prepare for long period maintenance of a carpet tufting machine.
Evidence requirements
1.1
The importance of the long period maintenance of tufting machines is explained
in terms of its impact on production.
1.2
Sections of the machine and components requiring maintenance, and the
nature of the maintenance required are identified and described in accordance
with workplace procedures.
Range
1.3

maintenance are specified.

Evidence requirements
2.1
Maintenance of tufting components is completed in accordance with long period
maintenance schedules and workplace procedures.
