A summary of the specifications of all operational tufting machines is prepared
in accordance with workplace procedures.

Evidence requirements
2.1
The tufting machine is selected to suit product specification.
Range
yarn specification, dyeing specification, gauge, stitch rate, pile
type, pile height, pile weight, patterning system.
2.2
Selected tufting machine is set up in the appropriate configuration for a
manufacturing trial in accordance with workplace procedures and data from
sample production.
2.3
Run carpet tufting machine in accordance with workplace procedures.
2.4
Critical parameters of carpet from trial are confirmed to be within allowable
tolerances in accordance with product specification.

pile height, pile weight, pile appearance, back stitch, absence of
faults.
Machine configuration is finalised and added to the summary of specifications in
accordance with workplace procedures.
