People credited with this unit standard are able to: produce standard reference samples; prepare production colour strings; and maintain a yarn library. Outcomes and evidence requirements Outcome 1 Produce standard reference samples. Evidence requirements 1.1 Standard colour string matches carpet master sample. 1.2 Standard yarn colour reference sample and carpet master sample are identified and stored according to workplace practice. Range tubes or wraps depending on the shade matching requirements. Outcome 2 Prepare production colour strings. Evidence requirements 2.1 Production colour string for job matches carpet standard. 2.2 Production colour string is labelled according to workplace practice. Evidence requirements 3.1 Yarn stored in library represents colour range required for use in workplace. 3.2 Records show yarn identity, location, and quantity held. 3.3 Yarn quantities are maintained above minimum stock level.
