People credited with this unit standard are able to: demonstrate knowledge of spool threading; thread spools for pattern lines; and maintain a threading machine and equipment. Outcomes and evidence requirements Outcome 1 Demonstrate knowledge of spool threading. Evidence requirements 1.1 Spool threading equipment is explained in terms of its function and use. Range threading machine, spool, tube frame, threading hooks, cutting blade. Outcome 2 Thread spools for pattern lines. Evidence requirements 2.1 Threading is carried out in accordance with workplace safety procedures. 2.2 Threading machine is set to width according to the spool type. 2.3 Tube frame is loaded according to workplace practice.
