Purpose
This unit standard is for people working in the carpet
manufacturing industry. People credited with this unit standard
are able to: demonstrate knowledge of spool threading; thread
spools for pattern lines; and maintain a threading machine and
equipment.

Spool threading equipment is explained in terms of its function and use.

Threading is carried out in accordance with workplace safety procedures.
2.2
Threading machine is set to width according to the spool type.
2.3
