People credited with this unit standard are able to: prepare the electrical sign components and circuits; assemble the components; and test, clean, and store assemblies. Evidence requirements 2.1 Tubes are installed according to layout specifications. 2.2 Other components are installed according to AS/NZS 3832, and Electricity Regulations. Range includes but is not limited to – ballast units, starter components, capacitors, flasher units. 2.3 Colour coded wiring is installed to comply with electrical safety regulations. 2.4 Assembled circuits and sign components comply with electrical safety regulations. Outcome 3 Test, clean, and store assemblies. Evidence requirements 3.1 Tests confirm diffusion of light complies with specifications. 3.2 Capacity of transformer is in accordance with the requirements of tubing. 3.3 Tests are carried out in accordance with electrical safety regulations. 3.4 Assembly is cleaned without damage to electrical circuits and components. 3.5 Assembly is stored in accordance with company policy. 3.6 This unit standard is Testing and cleaning comply with AS/NZS 3832. expiring Replacement information This unit standard, unit standard 1050, unit standard 1051, unit standard 1052, and unit standard 1057 have been replaced by unit standard 27580.
