People credited with this unit standard are able to complete
work preparations for embellishing letters, and embellish
letters.

Explanatory notes
All work practices shall meet the requirements of relevant legislation, including Health and

Highlighting requirements are established according to light source and client
specifications.
2.4
Highlighting is marked out on lettering and applied to comply with client
specifications.
2.5
Type and thickness of outline is determined from job specifications.
2.6
Outline is marked out according to specification.
2.7
Even thickness of lines and curves is achieved through selection of brush
suitable for the task.
2.8
All embellishments are completed in accordance with job specification.
