Retail or distribution environment refers to workplaces where the primary focus is on customers purchasing goods and/or services. Agreed indicates a course of action that is accepted between two or more people (including the candidate) and which follows organisational procedures. Organisational procedures refer to instructions to staff on policy and procedures which are formally documented, or generally accepted within the workplace. 2 Business calculations may include but are not limited to – identifying and analysing stock requirements; ordering, pricing and costing stock; measuring stock turnover; forecasting sales; preparing and analysing sales reports; preparing and analysing budgets; preparing profit and loss statements; preparing balance sheets; meeting tax requirements; managing payroll; managing space; managing waste; rostering staff. 3 Evidence is required for two different business calculations. Evidence requirements 1.1 Aim of business calculations is identified and agreed to in accordance with organisational procedures. 1.2 Data gathered is relevant for the aim. Evidence requirements 2.1 Results of calculations are analysed and relevant implications identified. 2.2 Results and implications are presented in accordance with organisational procedures. 2.3 Relevant actions are identified based on results and implications. 2.4 Actions are recommended in accordance with organisational procedures.
