Definitions
Worksite requirements – refer to instructions to staff on policy and procedures which
are documented in memo or manual format and are available in the workplace.
These requirements include but are not limited to – company specifications and
procedures, work instructions, manufacturer’s specifications, product quality
specifications, legislative requirements.
CNC – refers to Computer Numerically Controlled machines.

Employment Act 1992 and Resource Management Act 1991.

Outcomes and evidence requirements
Outcome 1
Create computerised programmes for glass processing machines.
Range
includes but is not limited to – CNC edgeworking machine, waterjet, CNC
drilling machine, automatic glass cutting machine, digital printing machine.
Evidence requirements
1.1
Processes for creating a computerised programme are completed in
accordance with job specifications and worksite requirements.
processes may include but are not limited to – drawing glass
shape, selecting or modifying existing shapes, loading pre-drawn
Computer Aided Design file, using digitiser to create shape file,
using machine sensor to create shape file;
evidence of a minimum of two is required.

Machines are programmed to ensure that the job specifications and worksite
requirements are met.
programming requirements may include but are not limited to –
tool and wheel selection, thickness of the glass, speed, wheel
pressure, edge type and finish, bevel width and angle, residual
edge, V cut size, triple edge, special profiles, water pressure,
nozzle size.

applies to those standards.
