Reading
Students are focusing on nonfiction text. Students will be
asking and answering
questions as well as
comparing and contrasting
two texts. While reading
informational texts, students
will asked to identify the main
purpose of a text. Students
will also be
describing the

weeks students will be
researching a pet. They will
use the facts they have
collected to determine if an

Students will start the
measurement unit. Students
are learning to measure in
inches and centimeters. They
will use these skills to solve
word problems. Students will
also use addition and
subtraction within 100 to solve
problems involving lengths.
Science
Students are starting to learn
about the moon. Over the next
month, Students will identify
and describe the surface of the
moon. Students will also learn
about the phases of the moon.
Students will keep a moon
journal where they will record
what the moon looks like every
night.
Social Studies
Students will be identifying
different types of technology
and how they are used by
consumers. We will also be
learning about natural,
capital, and human resources
and how they are used to
produce goods and services.
Students will also identify
examples of transportation

estudiantes estarán preguntando y
contestando preguntas además de
comparar y contrastar dos textos.
Mientras leen textos
informacionales, los estudiantes
deberán identificar el propósito

Los estudiantes empezaran la
unidad de medida. Ellos están
aprendiendo a medir usando

usaran estas habilidades para
