Third Grade
Third grade students created acute, obtuse and
right angles this week. They also became
familiar with coordinate grids and plotted points
on them. Near the end of the week students
used the partial-quotients strategy to divide large
numbers. A test is scheduled for 1/14.
Fourth Grade
Fourth grade students explored different types of
charts and graphs this week. They used a stemand-leaf and line plot to find data measures.
Students are finding the mean, median and
mode in sets of data. A test is scheduled for
1/13.
Fifth Grade
Fifth grade students explored angle relationships
this week. They found the sum of angles of
different polygons by splitting them into triangles.
Near the end of the week students plotted points
on coordinate grids and used formulas to find the
middle points of line segments.
