Third Grade
Third grade students used the partial-quotients
strategy to divide multi-digit numbers this week.
They also explored angles that form on clocks.
In January students will learn how to use a
protractor to measure acute, obtuse and reflex
angles.
Fourth Grade
Fourth grade students explored natural
measures of length this week. They also
converted Metric units of length. Millimeters,
centimeters, meters, and kilometers were all
converted. In January students will investigate
the role that sample size plays in data collection.
Fifth Grade
Fifth grade students took a test on fractions
earlier in the week. They started to explore
angle properties on Thursday and Friday. In
January students will measure angles, find the
sum of angles and use coordinate grids to bisect
rays and lines.
