Third Grade
Third grade students continued to explore
fractions this past week. Students ordered and
compared fractions and mixed-numbers on
number line. They also used spinners and
fractions to determine the probability of
outcomes. A test is scheduled for 2/11.
Fourth Grade
Fourth grade students added positive and
negative numbers this past week. They also
modeled how to add signed numbers on a
number line. Next week students will find least
common multiples to add and subtract mixed
numbers.
Fifth Grade
Fifth grade students explored turn-around
patterns and the properties of numbers this
week. They identified the commutative,
distributive and associative properties. Next
week students will use pan-balances to solve
equations with variables.
