Math Replacement News October 9th, 2015 Third Grade Third graders continue to explore quotients, factors, and products. They learned different strategies to multiply and divide numbers this week. Next week students will investigate the usefulness of map scales and convert measurements. Fourth Grade Fourth graders explored different properties of angles. They identified and created acute, obtuse, right, adjacent, and vertical angles. Next week students will see how tessellations are constructed and calculate the interior sum of angles. Fifth Grade Fifth graders learned about scientific notation this week. They investigated when scientific notation is used and how to divide and multiply by powers of 10.
