Third Grade
Third graders continue to explore quotients,
factors, and products. They learned different
strategies to multiply and divide numbers this
week. Next week students will investigate the
usefulness of map scales and convert
measurements.
Fourth Grade
Fourth graders explored different properties of
angles. They identified and created acute,
obtuse, right, adjacent, and vertical angles. Next
week students will see how tessellations are
constructed and calculate the interior sum of
angles.
Fifth Grade
Fifth graders learned about scientific notation this
week. They investigated when scientific notation
is used and how to divide and multiply by powers
of 10. Students also went on a virtual field trip to
calculate the area of many historical sites. A test
is scheduled for 10/14.
