News from Room 113 A Peek at our Week December 4, 2015 Reading: We are continuing our Fiction Unit and reading different versions of the Gingerbread Man. We are comparing them and discovering the similarities and differences. Phonics: (A-Z, or, ar, ur, ir, ch, sh, th, wh, ing, ed) Practice these sounds and point them out in books at home! We have also focused a lot on short vowel sounds to help us read and write more words. Math: We have started our unit on teen numbers. We are building our developing our number sense related to numbers between 11 and 20. We are focusing on how to write them, how to recognize them, and that these numbers are 10 and some ones. Please play the math game throughout the week and sign and return the bottom portion on Friday in their purple folders.
