GRADE 10 VISUAL ARTS - AVI 202 (Prerequisite:
Grade 9 Art ~ AVI1O1)
This course enables you to develop your skills in producing and presenting art by introducing you
to new ideas, materials, and processes for artistic exploration and experimentation. You will learn to
apply the elements and principles of design when exploring the creative process. You will use the
critical analysis process to reflect on and interpret art within a personal, contemporary and historical
context. The artwork you create will reflect who you are becoming at this time in your life. You will
have the background knowledge gained in Grade 9 Visual Arts, therefore, minimal time will be spent
reviewing technical skills with more time allotted to develop and explore complex ideas and media.
