CU professor tapped for international print exchange
Cameron University associate art professor Katherine Liontas-Warren has been invited to participate in the
Cultural Landscape Print Exchange between North America and Northern Ireland.
The project brings together artists who explore issues related to land, investigate issues of identity and
comment on historical perspectives. Its goal is to establish collaboration between print communities in on
both sides of the Atlantic.
Its artists, coming from diverse cultural backgrounds, will speak about the complexity of community and
seek out a variety of perspectives on these issues. Together they will use the medium of print to explore
the relationship between land and socio-political issues.
Liontas-Warren has exhibited in 16 solo shows and 168 national and regional juried competitive exhibitions
throughout the U.S. and Europe. Her work can be viewed in permanent collections at Austin Peay
University, the Trahern Gallery, the Arkansas Art Center, Oklahoma State University, Del Mar College,
Texas Tech University, Whitman College, the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma and the
Milwaukee Museum of Art.
Liontas-Warren has been a member of the CU faculty for 20 years and has taught all levels of drawing and
printmaking.
