GRADE 9 VISUAL ARTS - AVI 101
This course is exploratory in nature, offering an overview of visual arts as a foundation for further study. You
will become familiar with the elements and principles of design and the expressive qualities of materials by
using a range of media, processes, techniques, and styles. You will learn to use creative and critical
analysis processes and will interpret art within a personal, contemporary, and historical context. Taking art in
grade 9 will enable you to develop your artistic skills over 4 years of high school.
