Drawing our path ahead. Art is one of my personal favorite subjects and it has always been since childhood. Unfortunately, many schools neglect art in favor of the STEM subjects. Luckily, Trio World Academy’s art department is one of the exceptions! The High School Art Studio, headed by Mr Sheelvanth, is a vast place with all the tools necessary to cultivate young and talented artists, even if one has never picked up a colour pencil before! The Studio itself is a massive room with multiple displays of art from past students to encourage artists to have a similar standard of creativity and innovation. The Studio has practically every material and medium readily available, from acrylics to clay and a clay kiln! Of course, you can’t put those materials to use if you don’t know how to use them, and our teacher is always willing to show us how to use them through live demonstrations! The school also helps us branch out our creative thinking through gallery visits and art demonstrations from professionals in the art field. One thing I also adore how my love for digital art, a form of art that I’ve been doing since I was young, was not cast out but seen as a way to express my talents and joys. We are genuinely so glad to have found this subject at Trio and we would like to express our thanks to the art department for always encouraging us to become better and to become future artists.
