Instructions for Alto Sax auditions
For the alto sax audition, there are four excerpts, two from Aces by Robert W. Smith
and two from Semper Fidelis by John Philip Sousa.
If you also wish to record scales or a piece of your choosing, feel free, but it is not
necessary.
If one excerpt is too difficult, leave it out. We want to hear you at your best.
The first is slow (marked Powerful). Play up to measure /17/.
The second is fast (marked With Intensity).
The third and fourth are both moderately fast (March Tempo).
