Instructions for Alto Clarinet auditions
You may (but are not required to) audition on both alto clarinet and other
instruments such as Bb clarinet or bass clarinet.
If you also wish to record scales or a piece of your choosing, feel free, but it is not
necessary.
If one excerpt is too difficult, leave it out. We want to hear you at your best.
For the alto clarinet part of your audition, there are three excerpts, all from Semper
Fidelis by John Philip Sousa
All are moderately fast (March Tempo).
