WHAT IF I AM
INJURED OR SICK?
1.
DOCTOR’S MEDICAL EXCUSE – This note should be given to
the P.E. teacher at the beginning of class. The note must
include the reason, the student’s limitations, and the dates
to be excused. This may include either the time period to be
excused or the exact date to return to physical education. If
the excuse is for an extended time, the student may be
placed into adapted physical education. (If necessary, the
doctor’s office may fax a note to 215-368-6817.)
2.
PARENT NOTE – This note should be given to the P.E. teacher
at the beginning of class. Parents should list any limitations
and the reason to excuse the student from the class activity.
This note will excuse a student for one class period. Students
are permitted only TWO one day parent notes per semester.
3.
Any student excused from Physical Education may NOT
participate in extracurricular physical activities. Copies of
all excuses are forwarded to coaches.
DO I HAVE TO SHOWER?
You do not have to take a shower after physical education class. You will have time to
freshen up while changing. Students may bring, deodorant and body spray and keep
them in their locker. Please, NO POWDER, GLASS BOTTLES, CURLING IRONS, or FLAT
IRONS. Be respectful and cautious when using body spray and hair spray in the locker
rooms – some classmates may have an allergic reaction to the chemicals.
ARE MY BELONGINGS
SAFE DURING P.E.?
YOUR TEACHERS TRY VERY HARD TO HELP YOU AND
YOU CAN HELP OUT, TOO:
1. A lock will be issued to you by your physical education teacher. Please lock ALL
of your belongings during class, including your clothes and books.
2. If you forget your combination please ask your PE for the number!
3. Do not bring a lot of money or good jewelry to school. Save your best school
clothes for days you do not have physical education, especially nylons which
take a long time to change in and out of.
4. If you lose your combination or lock, speak with your teacher
IMMEDIATELY. Lost locks will be replaced with a new one. Students will be
charged to replace any lost locks.
5. DO NOT share your combination with anyone.
6. The school will not take responsibility for lost or stolen property.
7. Do not ask your teacher to hold items for you in class!
8. Students may borrow the long locker near their assigned locker during class and
after school sports. However, at the end of or practice, all locks and belongings
must return to the student’s assigned locker.
9. TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR OWN BELONGINGS!

Students are to dress at their lockers and report to their squads
5 minutes after the 2nd bell rings. Students will also have 5 minutes
at the end of class to change.
If a student is tardy for class, the following procedures will take place:
FIRST & SECOND TIME-verbal warning & loss of participation points

In order to keep yourself and your classmates safe, horseplay in locker rooms
cannot be permitted. It is your locker room. Please help us maintain a
pleasant, safe and clean environment for everybody.
Safety procedures for all units will be covered by teachers as necessary. As a
general rule, no students are to go on or use equipment unless directed by a
teacher.
All injuries should be reported to the teacher immediately. Students are
advised not to touch an injured student or any bodily fluid from any person.
At the end of class, students are to remain in the locker room until the bell
rings. No one is permitted in the stairway or hallway.
Refusal to participate in the class activity will result in an automatic office
