ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: YEARLY PERCENT OF TIME 20% 1. Develop, write, and edit bilingual media press releases in either English or Spanish and coordinate distribution with all means of media. 2. Coordinate media events, securing venue, promotion, registration and catering for special college presentations, awards, press conferences. Prepare media packets to be in either English or Spanish for events. 15% 3. Coordinate interviews and story write-up with college departments, constituencies, and student organizations to be in either English or Spanish. 15% 4. Follow through with media contacts to ensure publicity of news stories. 15% 5. Design special advertising, weekly ads, billboards, cinema screens, and publications to be in either English or Spanish. 15% 6. Participate in advertising campaign developments to include writing, designing, and printing material in either English or Spanish. 10% 7. Support the Marketing Department initiatives in terms of media relations, media contacts, information dissemination, graphic design, advertising, and printing material. 5% 8. Skills/Abilities: Excellent skills in writing, editing, proofreading , oral communication and project management; Must have experience in research, statistics, data analysis; Be familiar with APA and MLA writing styles; Knowledge of all Microsoft Office Software and able to learn and use institutional software systems; Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; Ability to multi-task and oversee completion of assigned projects and deadlines; Ability to interact with individuals at all levels of the institution to include faculty and administration; Ability to comply with College policies and procedures; Ability to work in a diverse environment and be sensitive to issues of diversity and inclusion.
