JOB SUMMARY: Coordinate the day-to-day operations and activities for the Workforce Development
Programs and Truck Driving Program.

1. Support and market Workforce Development Programs by establishing and

maintaining partnerships with community businesses, organizations, local
Workforce Board, educational institutions, and other entities. Assist in explaining
and/or recommending Workforce Development policies and procedures and
regulations governing departmental functions.

Develop and/or conduct career related workshops and training. Conduct
professional presentations at local seminars, conferences and meetings. Research
and identify workforce development job placement leads within the community by
contacting businesses and soliciting full and part-time jobs and document job
specifications.

3.
Provide general information for Institute for Customer Service Excellence (ICSE)
and other Workforce Development programs. Refer students to appropriate
departments and /or agencies.

4.
Compose and prepare correspondence and statements of Workforce Development
activity; compile data, prepare and submit reports. Provide work direction to
assigned staff; prioritize and schedule work assignments. Assist Director in
resolving and responding to customer satisfaction grievances.

Perform other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide work direction to work-studies and part-time staff.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: Associate’s degree or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE: Five (5) years related experience.

Equipment Used: Personal computer and related peripherals as well as other equipment
associated with an office environment. (e.g. typewriter, copier, fax, and multi-line telephone).

Software Used: Integrated administrative software, i.e. Banner and Apache, and a variety of
internet, e-mail, word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation software.
